made his name during the early 1990s with his distinctive approach
to figurative painting.
Spanning the last two decades, this major survey brings together
over 50 paintings and works on paper, and includes many pieces which
have never previously been shown in the UK, made since his move
to Trinidad in 2002.
This exhibition is the most comprehensive overview of Doig’s
work to date, tracing the development of his recurring motifs and
haunting vision, and discovering how he has continually challenged
his own approach to image-making.´
